On Thursday evening, participants submit themes completing the sentence “Theater would be a lot more interesting if there were seven ten-minute plays about _____.”
The themes are tossed into THE CONE OF DESTINY and one is drawn at random.
Seven writers take that theme and write through the night, collaborating with a team of professional playwrights. On Friday at 8:00 am, each director receives a just-finished play and assembles a cast by blindly picking slips of paper with actors' names. But wait! At intermission, a new theme is drawn and the process repeats all over again, resulting in SEVEN MORE PLAYS in the next 24 hours.
At the end of the process, 14 plays in 48 hours.
